Tony Hawk Holiday eBay Auction Is Live

by The Editors on December 8, 2014

Header-2

The annual Tony Hawk Foundation Holiday eBay Auction is live. It works a little like this: Tony Hawk and his friends have donated really cool items (including a Tony hawk Edition Triumph Speedmaster motorcycle, guitars, skateboards, cameras, and other stuff). When you bid on and buy the items all the money raised goes to the fund the Tony Hawk Foundations missing to empower youth through the creation of public skateparks in low-income communities across the US and other causes overseas. Click here to learn more about it, or click here to bid on something. [click to continue…]

12 Days Of Gifts Day 8: Smith Marvine

by The Editors on December 8, 2014

Mappbrmt

They were stylish back in the day and now Smith Optics has brought the Marvine back again for some modern, retro flavor. In fact, these shades are guaranteed to make you look 15-20 IQ points smarter. And we all know people who could use the gift of intelligence this holiday season.

Buried in the vaults of Smith’s sunglass archive for decades, this iconic circular frame has a distinctive round shape and vintage curves. Drawing from all the elements expected of traditional design-simplicity, quality and craftsmanship, the Marvine is an authentic blast from our historic past. Proudly paying homage to generations of free-spirited, creative, and thoughtful intellectuals.

We like ’em in matte tortoise with polarized brown lenses, however, the Marvine comes is six different color ways and look just as good on girls as they do on guys. The Marvine’s retails for $119 and you can buy them right here.

12 Days Of Gifts Day 7: GoPole Selfie Stick

by The Editors on December 7, 2014

Gopole Reach

This just might be the perfect gift for the snowboarder, skateboarder, or surfer on your list who just can’t get enough of themselves (Narcissus, photographer?). Who doesn’t want more rad footage of themselves ripping it up? And that’s just what the GoPole Reach Selfie Stick delivers. The GoPole features a GoPro camera mount on one end and a no-slip rubber matrix grip on the other. It can be extended from 14 to 40 inches long providing the perfect distance for almost any selfie video. Shreds simply grab hold of the Selfie Stick and go. Built into the base of the pole is a ¼-twenty threaded insert that allows for an attached wrist strap or tripod mount for those times when 40 inches is just way too close. It even has a removable wifi remote clip that makes starting and stopping the camera one thumb click away. The Reach Selfie Stick retails for $54.99 and can be purchased right here.

12 Days Of Gifts Day 4: SOL Republic Relays

by The Editors on December 4, 2014

Solrepub Relays

Know someone who likes riding or skating with their own personal sound track rolling? It’s probably hard to think of anyone who doesn’t rock their music when they roll. And those people need headphones that stay where they’re supposed to stay. The SOL Republic Relays are in-ear headphones that lock into the ear canal and don’t budge no matter how hard they get rattled. Not only do they stay put, they fit so well that they block out ambient noise almost as well as more expensive noise-canceling headphones.

The Relays feature an inline mic and music control buttons that are compatible with iOS and other devices, so pausing the music or answering a phone call is as easy as pressing a button on the cord. It’s never been easier to stay in the groove while on the move. The Relays come in five colors (red, lime, blue, white, and black) to fit the fashion plate of even the pickiest of shreds. Replays retail for $79.99 and can be purchased right here.
