The crew at Push.ca has a snowboard video series called Living Legends in which they profile some of the biggest names in Canadian snowboarding. Kevin Sansalone has had a impact on world snowboarding for years. Watch and remember (or maybe even learn).

Torx Trux have a “captive nut” built-in so assembly is a one hand operation. Not really sure why no one has done this before. We kind of wish our Indys had this baseplate feature.

Whitewash, a documentary that focuses on African American surfers, will be released on DVD and VOD on October 4, 2011.
The film, which is narrated by Ben Harper and Tariq Black Though of The Roots, reportedly “explores the history of rarely detailed surfing culture within the African American community, told from the POV of black surfers from Hawaii, Jamaica, Florida, and California.,” according to a story on Indiewire.
And yes, the film features Sal Masekela, who (if you saw him surf during the US Open of Surfing) is ripping right now.

Over the weekend the Caffeinated Corn Syrup Tour stopped in Portland, Oregon and the skateboarding went a little like this: P-Rod won the street skate event (see his run above), and Bucky Lasek won the pro bowl.

Someone, please hook Jack Mitrani up with a full-time acting gig so he can move on from snowboarding. This Burton “Winter Storm Warning” news segment is the best thing he’s ever done. It’s like he was built for this. From here on out Jack should do the acting, and Danny Davis, well, he has a nice mustache, but he should probably just keep riding that logo stick.

After a week on the hot, bikini-ass strewn sands of Huntington Beach, California it’s nice to know the heads at Windells are still keeping things chill on snow at Mt. Hood. We’re taking this as a nice little snow refresher after a salty week of wading waste deep in nearly naked teens.
