With all the destruction that Sandy caused it’s good to see that some Florida surfers got something good out of here. Cavin Brothers from Colorblindmedia.com offer up this little collection of Sandiness.
“We worked closely with the crew at Herschel Supply Co. to create two collaborative goggles that are as technical as they are timeless,” says Brent Sandor, SPY brand manager. “Dreaming up one of the cleanest design details we’ve ever seen—a pop of Herschel Supply Co.’s signature red on the lens groove of the goggle—this frame is visually distinct from anything else out there. They also built a bag that’s as unique as it is functional. Only Jamie [Cormack] and the crew at Herschel Supply Co. would have put this much thought into every aspect.”

Not sure there is anything else we need to say about this other than Tony and radio show host and author Jason Ellis sit around, tell stories from their times together, poopy pants, and eat bugs. Yum.
The Stokes Me Challenge, in which brands, organizations, and individuals competed to raise money for Humanitarian Organizations is over and the winners are? Reef founders Fernando Aguerre and Santiago Aguerre of Liquid Tribe. They reportedly raised $7,500. Beer cheers to Jonah Owen for finally getting a board sponsor with the Rome SDS.
During a season without a board sponsor, Jonah Owen spent last year on his own schedule completely killing it. He took to the streets and backcountry to stack footy and quite possibly take the “hardest-working snowboarder” award in 2012. This season he has already cashed in $10k from a 1st place finish at Hot Dawgz & Hand Rails at Bear Mountain, and checked off early pow runs during the first snow fall at Bachelor.
Here, let Nike and some energy drink with a cow on it rub your face in their big, bulbous, bulging wallets and show you how epic snowboarding looks when they spend way, way, too much money to “get the shot.”
Hey, I know let’s film Austin Smith juggling eggs in Phantom slo-mo. How rad will that be? Then you throw a boot in a snow storm with Danny Kass standing behind it throwing horns and going “Arrrrrggggghhhh.” Oh my gawd.
It seems it was only a matter of time. Jason Jesse has been wearing these clothes, riding these bikes, shooting these guns, and sporting this style since long before Brixton was even a brand. Might as well put a couple logos on him.
“Jason is an inspiration to people inside and outside of skateboarding,” said Brixton co-founder and Brand Manager David Stoddard. “He brings a rich heritage to the Brixton family and we are honored to be working with him.”
“I feel right at home on Brixton,” said Jessee. “I’m into everything they’re into, so it’s very comfortable. I wear two hats and a lot of clothes and their stuff rules so I am fully stoked on being a part of this.”
