World Industries is announcing their new shoe partnership with the Keep A Breast Foundation in which the company will have shoes manufactured with the “I heart boobies” logo right there on the bottom of the shoe as Andrew Cannon is so thoughtfully modeling.
“We are excited to collaborate with The Keep A Breast Foundation, an organization that supports a cause that is very close to me and my family,” said Scott Chantos, President, World Industries and recently elected Keep A Breast Foundation Board Member. “My mother and aunt are both breast cancer survivors so I know how important early detection is. I love what Shaney jo and her team are doing at KAB and we wanted to create a product to promote awareness for the cause and contribute a portion of the proceeds to help fund programs that encourage a healthy lifestyle.”
The footwear line, which includes men’s and women’s models, will debut in select retail outlets in September 2013 for $50 a pair. For more details, follow the jump.
Leading Skateboarding Company to Develop I love boobies! Shoes to Support Foundation
World Industries and Keep A Breast Foundation, the leading youth-focused, global, nonprofit breast cancer organization, today announced plans for a limited edition I love boobies! footwear line, WRLDxKAB.
The footwear line will consist of both men’s and women’s shoes – Sully and Sully Hi-Top. World Industries will donate $1 from every shoe sale to The Keep A Breast Foundation to help with their mission of eradicating breast cancer for future generations by educating youth about prevention, early detection and cancer-causing toxins in the environment.
“World Industries is the perfect partner for the Keep A Breast Foundation to continue to spread potentially life saving information,” says Kimmy McAtee of Keep A Breast Foundation. “With their irreverent style and dedicated audience it made sense to collaborate with them on a shoe that will create a conversation about breast health to a larger audience.”
In addition to the line that will be sold in stores, World Industries has also developed customized versions of the I love boobies! shoes for skate team pro members, Andrew Cannon and
Anthony Shetler.
The collection will debut in select retail outlets September 2013 for $50.
About World Industries
World Industries is one of the most recognized and oldest skate brands in the industry. Founded in 1988 by professional skateboarders Steve Rocco and Rodney Mullen, World Industries has been attributed as one of the brands to help re-define skateboarding into a street based activity, and this in turn drove the massive growth of skateboarding through the 1990s.
