There’s nothing better while watching late night TV than seeing Kalani Robb’s bright shinning face doing work for Arby’s King’s Hawaiian Buns. It’s ono.

Seems like Van Styles‘ photos have been turning heads all over the action industry. Now, he sits down for a short Brainstorm with Kayo TV. And yeah, it’s good to see where he’s coming from, because everyone seems to like where he’s going.

Jah Work: A Ben Harper Tribute to Lewis Marnell

by The Editors on April 30, 2013

Today (April 30, 2013), on iTunes Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals released a special version of Jah Work to help support the family of Australian Almost Skateboards pro Lewis Marnell who died in January 2013 from diabetes complications. Here’s what Almost’s Luis Cruz says:

Lewis had left his guitar with me so he had something to play when he was in the US. I had forgotten he left it. One day, Ben Harper was visiting me and noticed the guitar. When Ben and I started talking about it, we thought it would be cool for him to make a song using Lewis’ guitar. With debt looming over Lewis’s funeral, Ben decided to get his original band back together and make a song for Lewis. All proceeds of the song will go to helping the Marnell family with all funeral costs.

Ben Harper is a good man. Click the link to buy the song, if you’re outside the US click here for the international version. [click to continue…]

Smoking, Skating, Smoking & Steve Olson

by The Editors on April 29, 2013

We’ve watched this Patrick Pearse edit for Desillusion Magazine three times now and we swear, our monitor is beginning to get that worn, smokey, intimate, Marlboro haze that Steve Olson creates so well.

Reid Jackson Surfs An Icy Land

by The Editors on April 25, 2013

Sitka surf crew member Reid Jackson left the warming waters of Canada last spring for a little run at some really cold water in Iceland. The adventure was captured by Chris Burkard and Mikey Detemple. Can’t say were jealous of the brain freezes.

Storm Surfers 3D US Premiere Friday

by The Editors on April 24, 2013

This Friday night, April 26, 2013 surf legends Tom Carroll and Ross Clarke-Jones will be attending the US premiere of Storm Surfers 3D on the Giant Titan XC Screen at The Ward 16 Theaters in Honolulu (at 7 PM and 10 PM screenings) and it goes a little something like this:

Combining cutting-edge 3D technology and bravura filmmaking, Storm Surfers 3D is the ultimate big-wave thrill ride. The film follows best friends and surfing legends Tom Carroll and Ross Clarke-Jones, along with surf forecaster Ben Matson, as they track and chase giant storms in their quest to ride the Pacific’s biggest and most dangerous waves.  Using state-of-the-art miniature 3D cameras that put audiences inside the barrel of the waves, Storm Surfers 3D is a visually stunning cinematic adventure unlike any other.

Let’s put it this way — if we were on the rock this week we’d be there. As always we’re bummed we’re not.
