Denmark’s Skateducate is working to get more girls skateboarding by creating a camp where girls can skate together, and they’ve taken to crowd sourcing site IndieGogo to raise some funding. Here’s what they’re about:
We seek to encourage communities across age, cultural and social differences. By making camps in a local community we are making sure, that the girls get to know the best places to skate near their homes, and they get to meet other girls from their area, with whom they can continue to skate with, when the SKATEDUCATE camp is over.
Watch the edit and if you feel moved to contribute, click the link and pledge some money. Anne Eggebrecht and crew are hoping to raise $6,000 and so far (with four days left) they only have $599. And, if you give $450 you’ll get an art deck created exclusively for Skateducate. Click the link for all the info.

Chris Cole knows that sometimes it’s a good idea to leave the Street League arena and skateboard outside. He also knows Thunder Trucks. You know?

Whenever we see the words “swimsuit issue” we always think of that old issue of Transworld Skateboarding Magazine that was teased as a “Special Swimsuit Issue.” Remember? This issue of Surfing Magazine is not that. This is a bunch of bikinis on skinny girls. Hot girls are so hot right now. Especially when they’re lounging around in the sun, glistening with sweat, and nearly naked. Because, you know, they’re just waiting to make all your dreams come true. They’re open, willing, and available right there in the pages. Creep out, kids. . .

Paul Hart is on the grind for Venture Trucks with one packed minute. Damn. How does he fold time like that?

Ah, Brooklyn. Home of hip people making cool things with their very own hands (and lasers, apparently). A company called Magnetic Kitchen has begun using their laser to cut designs into skateboard decks and now, through the magic of crowd sourcing they’re trying to raise money (a.k.a. sell more decks) to help them make more.
While we’re not into many of the designs they’re producing right now, the upside is that they could cut anything you want into the decks. Then after a couple board slides it will all be ruined. Maybe these would work better as wall hangers. If you’d like to help, click the link and promise them some money.

Nothing screams success louder than a stable of expensive cars. And Nyjah Huston has apparently invested well in rolling stock. Here is an outtake from his recent photo shoot form Dub Magazine. Make of it what you will.

When Thunder says “quick turn geometry and response” we guess they’re talking about Ishod Wair.

Dave Lee and the Signal Snowboards crew get back to the base-ics, experimenting with new technology that adds a little heat up the base of a snowboard. Will it make the boards go faster? Will this be the technology that all boards will be rocking next year? Or will this just be a flash in the plan? Watch the edit and you’ll get all the answers in this March edition of Every Third Thursday.
