Over the weekend Kimberley, South Africa was host to the Kimberly Diamond Cup World Skateboarding Championships. And in the vert skateboarding division (yes, people still skate vert ramps) Jimmy Wilkins rolled away with the title and a $35,000 check.

For years pro snowboarder Megan Pischke was one of Boarding For Breast Cancer’s most tireless ambassadors. That’s why when she discovered that she had breast cancer herself in October of 2012 she decided to do what she could to share what it’s really like to “go through the rigors of cancer treatments and come out on the other side.” That sharing turned into the film Chasing Sunshine and the Chasing Sunshine Project which is launching today (September 30, 2014).
In sharing every detail of this personal journey, Megan’s intention is that her story brings hope to others. . . “Being so raw and honest feels like the only way to share something as heartbreaking as cancer,” states Megan Pischke. “Through this film, my hope is that I may inspire and educate others about the possibilities we have today in coping with breast cancer and any of life’s challenges.”
This is a heavy, heavy, edit. If you thought Megan Pischke was a badass before, this film brings a whole new meaning to the term. For the official word on the film and the project, please follow the jump. [click to continue…]

We’re not normally all that into watching downhill skateboarding videos. And we started this one with some skepticism. We sat through the clips of the ghost town and were about to turn it off when we saw James Kelly begin bombing down the Pass and then it got crazy. Arbor Skateboard’s James Kelly man handled the whole thing. Watch and cringe.

The success of Signal Snowboard’s Every Third Thursday has spawned an entirely new “sponsored” show called Cardboard Chaos. In this rendition, Dave Lee and Marc Wierenga will apparently introduce the manufacturing of strange things out of cardboard each episode while Earnest Packaging Solutions foots the bill. Not a bad gig. And truthfully, we’d watch Dave Lee make paint dry. Seriously. In this episode: Surf Prescription’s Doc Lausch shapes a surfboard out of paper. For more on the show, follow the jump.
