While the Rip Curl Pro Search was getting blasted off the beach at Supertubes, this is what it looked like at Mundaka. Meaty. . .

Josh and Nick are still rocking the danger. . . whether you like it or not. One question: what’s with the “Guest pros?” Is the Dangerzone going corporate? Gawd, we hope not. . .

At 1:30 PM local time Rip Curl Pro Search Portugal officials called another lay day for Wednesday, October 21, 2009. But no one is blaming them. Especially after seeing video on Surfling LIfe of what the contest site looks like after getting slammed with one of the biggest storms to ever hit an ASP WCT tour event.
Locals are saying the overnight swell at Supertubes was the biggest to hit Portugal in 30 years. . . . Event organisers will need at least a day to repair the Supertubes venue.
Check it out.

A little reminder about how little it takes to make skateboarding fun, and how much a little footage can make us smile remembering someone we’ve lost.

We never like to laugh at people who are ignoring the crowd and trying something new, but occasionally we can’t help ourselves. Storm Snowboards marketing video, just might be one of those times.

Watch this San Francisco Police officer (Schwab #2099) act like “a fucking dick,” with Zack Snow on the final day of shooting Baysick.
Now I’m gonna act like a fucking dick. . . Resist again and I’m going to break your arm like a twig. And then you can treat me like the asshole you think I am
And to think, these are the kind of people our tax dollars go to support. It is ridiculous. Click here to file a complaint against the officer.

A Fresno City College student in Fresno, California was simply carrying a skateboard across the campus when a City College safety officer demanded that the student hand over the skateboard.
Cell phone video shows officers restraining the skateboarder and telling another student, wearing a white tank top, to back away. . . When he refuses, a city college officer is seen in the video chasing after him, while another appears to be swinging a baton.
Some witnesses said there were 10 to 15 officers involved. After some baton swinging and macing one student was arrested for “resisting arrest.” They always seem to use that one don’t they?

Louie Vito did alright on the first night of ABC’s hit show Dancing With The Stars, you know, once you get past the fact that he’s on the show at all.
He and his parter Chelsie Hightower performed a foxtrot and finished second behind Donny Osmond and Kim Johnson. Here’s what Extra TV had to say about his number:
Professional snowboarder Louie Vito[‘s] . . . smile might be stronger than his dance moves. Carrie Ann said she was surprised by their dance, but she can tell he’s never danced before. Bruno says the performance was “so cute” and it was like watching a “dancing hobbit.” The couple earned a 19 and 8 points for their Salsa relay dance.
“Dancing hobbit?” Right. Coming from a judge Todd Richards described as “dude looks like Mr. Bean” that kind of makes sense.
