Spike Jonze, Lakai, Mike Carroll, violence, Rick Howard, and some high end digital effects. It’s all there in one minute of commercial wizardry.

Morgan Spurlock is the filmmaker who ate at McDonalds until he turned into a fat pig and documented it all for his film Supersize Me. Now, the filmmaker has turned his lens toward Nathan Gocke, a surfer who broke his neck while surfing.
A quadriplegic, with enough feeling in his arms to enter an intensive rehabilitation program, Nathan did not dwell on his accident but instead looked to the future. His increasing strength, along with pivotal encounters with key individuals along the way, helped crystalize one simple thought in his mind that he would one day surf again. This is the story of one surfer out to prove that the impossible is possible. Nathan’s journey is a declaration that we can endure and overcome.
The film also features Jesse Billauer, Life Rolls On, and many other familiar faces.

We’re not at Bells Beach for the Rip Curl Pro, but we all can still cruise the party scene thanks to Emprie Ave’s Lincon. Oddly, their video is about what we remember from most parties: dark blurry and loud. For photos from the Dragon/ASL party click the link.

Just cut out all the sequences from a magazine and put them in full stop-motion action. . . like Tilles Singer did.

Looks like the snow pack built up a little too deep before any avalanche work was done at Russia’s Chimbulak Ski Resort. Whoops.

It’s been a while since Greg Lutzka signed on with K-Swiss, but we haven’t really understood what they were doing with him. Skateboarding still isn’t listed in their website’s “sports nav” and we haven’t heard about anything else. Now we know. Somewhere in between the balls, bats, and triathlete jocks littered all over this 72 and Sunny produced clip Lutzka appears for a brief moment. If that’s all that’s required, looks like he’s got a pretty sweet deal.

On March 20, 2010 Chamonix’s Xavier De Le Rue won the Nissan Freeride World Tour at Verbier. And while it happened a few weeks ago, we still thought it a good idea to put this video up just as a reminder of how good extreme runs can get.

Anastasia Ashley and Gretchen Bleiler are looking for a couple sweet smelling dudes to go on some Old Spice adventures with. Apparently, they’re the BO bait.

Surfer Marlon Lipke has decided that he’s going to prove to everyone that “with a little time and creativity, you can score waves in Europe any time of the year.”
Lipke’s first stop? The Italian island of Sardinia with European Pro Junior Champ Marc Lacomare. And from the looks of it this whole European surf mission looks like it’s going to be a little more trouble than it’s worth.
