Ah. . . guess if you don’t have waves you’ll think of almost anything to get shacked. Tarp surfing with dog tow-in?

After four long days of solid surfing The 2010 Billabong Pro J-Bay is over. South African Jordy Smith, 22, has claimbed his first ASP Elite tour event at home and placed himself firmly in the lead of the ASP World Title points race.
This is the best day of my life,” Smith said. “The crowd on the beach has been supporting me the last few days and hearing the cheers and the Vuvuzelas just gets me fired up to perform. It feels like they’re pushing me along. I couldn’t have done it without them.”
For surf fans who waited two-and-a-half months without any Elite Tour action it was over much too quickly. So quickly that we seemly missed half of it (including the final). Thankfully, there are heats-on-demand.
For all the final day’s details follow the jump for the official ASP release. [click to continue…]

A blue-collar skateboarder’s dream come true. . . apparently. Tools, beer, and boobs all thanks to Hubba Wheels. That girl looks thirsty. . . and hungry now that you mention it.

Okay. We give up. We can’t ignore Buoloco any longer. For the past few months Euro snowboard historian Ed Segovia has been interviewing some of snowboarding biggest names on iChat and then posting the videos on a site that he and Kevin Jones have created called buOLOco. Some are boring as hell, others compelling to no end. This interview between Kevin and photographer Ian Ruhter may be our favorite yet. The best part: seeing Kevin Jones get back in the mix.
But be careful–entire afternoons have been known to be blown on this.

There are few better collections of focused snowboard action than when manufacturers get together and try to out do each other in the creation of a team snowboard video. This clip is a little taste what we can expect from Nitro, Rome, Salomon, and Volcom, in Transworld Snowboarding’s ingenious sponsored content creation contest The Team Shoot Out.

Sometimes we don’t even care what’s going on in Knife Show edits because we’re too busy trying to figure out how they did the effects.

Tony Hawk’s latest show in Berlin appears to have been a pretty big deal. Didn’t David Hasselhoff play Berlin once?
