A Scene From The Soul Surfer Movie

by The Editors on March 16, 2011

The Bethany Hamilton bio-pic Soul Surfer doesn’t hit theaters until April 8, 2011, but until then here is a little clip the fictional Bethany Hamilton (AnnaSophia Robb) and Alana Blanchard (Lorraine Nicholson) try to finagle a little late night surf session out of Bethany’s mom.

Hollywood makes everything look so bright and sparkly doesn’t it?

Here’s How Dennis Busenitz Won Tampa

by The Editors on March 14, 2011

For a while now we’ve been surprised that Dennis Busenitz wasn’t cleaning up at pretty much every contest he enters. Sometime it causes us to wonder if the judges are watching the same skater we are. On Sunday (March 13, 2011) at the 2011 Tampa Pro, however, everyone saw the same thing. And it was crazy. Click the link for the rest of the action or here for the final results.

by The Editors on March 10, 2011

Birdhouse Shoot-1The is the first of the four The Skateboard Mag Woodward West Shootout videos we’ve seen, and the ender of the four-week-long contest. As TSM says:

Four teams. Four weeks. Four videos. Part flimer challenge, part editing challenge, part team challenge. . . This week — this final week — it’s Birdhouse’s team-video absurdities at Woodward West that we’re blessed with.

Blessed indeed. For your Thursday afternoon skate viewing pleasure make sure to watch it to the end. Jaws Homoki has a big surprise in store.

Alana Blanchard turned 21 yesterday and apparently Laura Enever, Coco Ho, and the girls did a little warm up. And we thought they tore it up in the waves. . .
