When we saw Chad Fernandez back hanging with the kids at a recent street comp we kind of wondered what he was doing. After viewing this little clip it appears he’s been hard at work.

Note to parents of teenage boys: if you stop your car up next to a group of kids on the street and the first thing that happens is one of them smashes out your back window with a skateboard DO NOT get out of the car.
A father from Gresham, Oregon named Tom was responding after finding out that his 15-year-old son had been beaten up by a group of kids. He reportedly drove straight to the scene to see what was up, according to a story on KOIN Local 6.
“As soon as I stopped the car one of them busted out the window of the car,” he said. “I jumped out to confront them and one of the teens said, ‘You want a piece of me?’ so I backed up and the teen in front of him yelled for one of the kids behind him to hit me.” . . That’s when Tom was hit in the face with the metal wheel side of the skateboard.
Tom was left bleeding out his eyes and face and the kids, of course, got away before police could arrive. If that wasn’t bad enough, Tom’s cousin was beaten to death on December 31, 2010, and Tom is being laid off from his job at Les Schwab at the end of the month. On top of that, police detectives have not even contacted the family yet because they “don’t have detectives working weekends.” They’re never there when you need them are they?

Chris Pastras and Jason Lee are proud to announce that Kyle Leeper is now on Stereo.
“We are more than proud and stoked to work with a skater who not only reminds us of our favorites from previous generations, but also one who’s actions speak louder than his words. That being said, We’ll let his welcome video speak for itself…
Appears to be, as they say in business, a “good fit.”

Surfers are a different breed. They are special. And no one is more of a surfer than The Surfer. And according to a story on The Surfer’s Path, comedian/actor Dominic Coleman’s surfer:
. . . perfectly captures the English mid-life surfer-yuppie archetype in all his lack of glory. He’s shockingly real, and while you may or may not recognize someone you know, or even yourself, in this film, the deeply shallow surf philosophies that underpin this character are arguably universal.
Absolutely. We’re so stoked on his stoke.
