The State of Oregon may not trust you to pump your own gas (into your car), but they have no problem letting kids fly in from all over the world to hang out at Windells and get into some watersports on the side of an active volcano.
Alex Corporan, Ivory Serra and Andre Razo dressed out room #1022 at New York City’s Ace Hotel with photos from their photo book Full Bleed, and NY Skateboarding was there to document it.
The room will display a selective collage of photos from the book. We visited Alex & Ivory during the setup and shot a little interview asking questions about the book, photos and the room.
As if The Hundreds bikinis weren’t enough, the LA style raconteurs have also launched a trunks and T-shirts line with OG custom trunk builders Katin. Guess sometimes the streets just get too hot. . .
Birdhouse Skateboards crowd sourced a project asking people to create something that would help move the Birdhouse brand forward. Birdhouse Flips The F*ck Out was the winner and it got Nikolaus Drellow a “head up his own ass” trophy at an event called the Wrath of Cannes. Now, all Birdhouse had to do is make this game happen. Come on. We’re itching for another reason to drop our iPhones.
We can’t imagine a more perfect guest for lascivious vodka slut Chelsea Handler than Kelly Slater; especially when he comes baring gifts. She questions him on David Hasselhoff, bikinis, Laird Hamilton, Gabi Reece and more. She was remarkably polite and lady like. And Kelly was smooth as butter as usual, “I could probably kick your ass,” Slater said.
Last Friday (June 17, 2011) Lastnamefirst.tv staged a softboard take-over of Trestles saying the following:
June 17th 2011, a day that will be remembered in history. Our leader, Captain Riley Metcalf, called upon the pirates of San Clemente and beyond to take over the peak at Lower Trestles. Pirates and other characters gathered for this glorious stand-off, where after hours of vicious warfare… we captured and dominated the peak at Lowers!
It’s summer, so this must be Windells. Check out what the skate kids are up to in Windells Concrete Jungle (and other Oregon spots). Kind of makes us want to visit when the kids are somewhere else.
