Sally Fitzgibbons Drops Her Top

by The Editors on December 8, 2011

ASP Women’s World number two Sally Fitzgibbons drops her top and covers up with her hands for a saucy Stab Magazine photo shoot which appears in the Issue #53, according to a story in the Illawarra Mercury.

Stab Magazine editor Derek Rielly said such shoots were a sought-after rite of passage for female pro surfers because the magazine had a history of showing them in a “glamorous way”.

Apparently, no matter how talented a woman is, the world’s only real interest is in seeing her all dolled up and ready to reproduce.

Air & Style’s Andrew Hourmont was over the moon:

“What a night: Spectacular sports, a crowd full of enthusiasm and great entertainment. That was a true Air & Style performance tonight at one of the world´s most beautiful stadiums. Globe Announces The Bantam

by The Editors on December 2, 2011

Apparently, Globe is introducing a new cruiser board line (that looks a lot like a Penny), although, we have to admit that was not the first thing we noticed about this particular edit.

Introducing Globe’s latest addition to its cruiser board line up – the Bantam. These may look like the boards of yesteryear, but they definitely are not. With a 30-day guarantee on the board and a lifetime guarantee on the trucks, the Globe Bantam Cruiser is not a toy. The board is stiffer, the trucks are wider and the components last longer than anything in the market.

Seriously, what can’t a crew of nearly naked teens sell these days?

Neon Australian Tron Night Surfing

by The Editors on December 1, 2011

Filmmaker Jack McCoy takes the Tron crew surfing in celebration of the first day of summer in Australia.

On summer’s eve, 17 Strongbow surfers descended on Bondi Beach in custom made glow-in-the-dark surfboards and wetsuits as an official “welcome to summer” for Strongbow. Channel 10’s Bondi Rescue lifeguards, Corey Oliver and Andrew Reid, were among the surfers taking part.

We’re sure it looked way cooler in person.
