TMZ.com says that Bad Things drummer Lena Zawaideh is suing bandmate Shaun White for among other things “inappropriate and sexually harassing and suggestive comments.”
Zawaideh also claims White forced her to rehearse while sick, demanded she cut her hair before a show in France … and ultimately stopped paying her because he felt she didn’t need the money. . . Zawaideh says White owes her more than $42k in back payments — but she wants A LOT more than that now … because she’s suing for punitive damages.
So far “White’s people” have not gotten back to TMZ. Reminds us of that line about every dollar being a problem.
Apparently, Bam Margera has reached that age when waking up every morning with a hangover just isn’t all that fun any more and everything he eats just loads on as fat. So what does Bam do? Another reality show, only this one is called Family Therapy With Dr. Jenn’s. Good to see he’s still getting paid, that his mom April is still cool, and that Bam may not OD just yet.
Funny thing is, while this commercial is trying to be sarcastic, we find it hard to argue with most of the comments being made about the Mini. Then again, we’re probably not in Mini’s target market.
The best part of the ad series is when Tony Hawk talks about being an outcast (below). And maybe we’ll see him putting around in a Mini soon. Yeah, Harvey, we said “putting around in a Mini.”
Looks like Shaun White has actually “joined the Mammoth Resorts’ ownership team” by plunking down a pretty large pile of cash (reportedly seven figures), even though making money by running ski lifts technically ended somewhere in the 90s. That said, he certainly seems stoked on his latest brand affiliation.
“It’s amazing that I’m now an owner of the mountain where I grew up riding,” said White. “As an owner I’ll be able to make changes and shape the future of the mountain and how people enjoy it–whether they’re beginners or professionals.”
Mr. White’s influence on Mammoth’s Big Bear Resorts will certainly help (White House Slopeside Condominiums, Summer Action Sports Complex, and dryslope maybe), and hey, if it sells a few more Air & Style tickets in the process, even better.

We know this is late, but now that the backwash has settled and all the details have been leaked on Kelly Slater’s epically perfect Lemoore, California wave pool (thanks, Swellnet and Reddit) the big question becomes: would you surf in Kelly’s foamy, brown water?
We’d definitely stop each time we made a run up I-5 and get thrown over the falls a couple times even if it was in a pond filled with industrial farming run off because the wave is just that beautiful.
There’s no doubt that the structure Tony Hawk built on his ramp is a mind (and body) twister. But is it a horizontal loop, or just a bowl with a ridable drain? You be the judge.
Tillman, the action sporting English bull dog who showed the world how much fun a dog could have on boards of all kinds, died Tuesday October 27, 2015, according to a story on NBC News. He was 10 years old (or 70 in dog years).
“He was my best friend, my brother and my shadow, and when it was show time, it was amazing. He made millions and millions of people smile throughout the world,” owner Ron Davis said of his pooch. “He was a little 60-pound butterball of inspiration for a lot of people.”
Tillman’s original Youtube video has been viewed over 20 million times and he was the star on an early Apple iPhone commercial. He will be missed.
Cherokee Global Brands, the fashion giant who licenses Tony Hawk’s name for apparel has announced that they’ve signed a new deal that will see a “broad assortment of Tony Hawk® signature apparel, accessory and footwear categories for young men’s and boy’s sizes 4-20” roll into Canadian Walmart stores. Here are Tony’s thoughts on the deal:
“I’ve worked closely with the team at Cherokee Global Brands to create a launch plan appropriate for the number one retailer in Canada. In my many visits to Canada on skate tours, I am consistently humbled by the response that Canadians have given to me, the Tony Hawk brand and skateboarding in general. I will be fully committed to the success of this launch through my social media, marketing, and appearances. It’s going to be a great ride!”
Indeed. Walmart Canada has 395 stores and more than 1.2 million customers each day. Cha-China!
Shaun White just upped his LA real estate game with brand new $6.4 million home in “Los Angeles’s heavily celebrified Outpost Estates,” according to a story in Variety.
The approximately 4,500-square-foot house, a boxy but still sleek and architecturally masculine interplay of poured concrete, horizontally applied wood siding, and dramatic expanses of glass, features five bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, and a glass-doored side-facing two-car garage.

Last Sunday (October 11, 2015) the Tony Hawk Foundation took over Ron Burkle’s Green Acres Estate in Beverly Hills for the 12th Annual Stand Up For Skateparks benefit. The day included performances by The Vandals, DJ Z-Trip and appearances by some of Mr. Hawk’s celebrity friends including: Anthony Kiedis, Perry Farrell, David Spade, Johnny Knoxville, Dr. Drew Pinsky, Fred Durst, Sarah Chalke, Verne Troyer, and many others.
Tony Hawk’s Stand Up For Skateparks benefit is a family-friendly action-sports carnival that included games, food, and live and silent auctions with unique items and experiences. All proceeds from the event will support the Tony Hawk Foundation’s mission to empower youth through the creation of free, quality, public skateparks in low-income communities throughout the U.S., and Internationally with programs that enrich the lives of youth through skateboarding. Since launching in 2004, the annual Stand Up For Skateparks benefit has raised over $9.3-million dollars to benefit the Tony Hawk Foundation.
