In a new ad for HP Shaun White cruises into a room in green jogging shorts only to find all his friends wearing Shaun White masks that they’ve printed out on their HP Printers. “This is part of Feed Company’s ongoing back-to-school online campaign for HP,” according to a story on AdGabber.
Yeah, seeing a couch full of Shaun’s is a little unsetting, if you ask us. And no, it doesn’t make us want to buy an HP printer. Then again, maybe it ties into the whole Crash Course with Shaun White.

Tony Hawk is taking his Stand Up For Skateparks show on the road this summer with the help of Activision. On August 10, 2008 he’s hitting New York City in the wallet with an event in Bridgehampton, New York.
This exciting event is the foundation’s exclusive, family-centric, action-sports carnival that features a Vert Demo with Tony Hawk and a cast of top skateboarders and BMX pros on Tony’s personal ramp, as well as games, food, auctions, and music. Proceeds from Activision Presents Stand Up For Skateparks help create free, quality public skateparks in low-income communities across the U.S.
Tickets to the event run from $150 for kids up to the $20,000 Platinum Package which includes 20 tickets/giftbags and a VIP reception with celebrities like: Lance Armstrong, Andre Agassi, Russell Simmons, Rob Dyrdek, Christopher “Big Black” Boykin, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jon Favreau, Mat Hoffman, Shaun White, Bobby Kotick, Bob McKnight, Ron Burkle (Surfer Pub’s owner), and Scott Greenstein.

If it weren’t for the short list of genuine action sports heros who are schedule to attend the Ryan Sheckler X Games Celebrity Skins Game, the celebrity list would read something closer to a joke: So, Brody Jenner, Mia Hamm, Kevin Federline, Bode Miller, and Vern Troyer walk into a bar. . .
But we shouldn’t laugh. The RSXGCSG (produced by the Sheckler Fountation) will be held July 29, 2008 at the Trump National Golf Course in Palos Verdes, California. And the proceeds from the event will go to four worthy charities: Wings for Life, Road 2 Recovery, The Athlete Recovery Fund, and Boarding for Breast Cancer.
If you want to join Ricky Carmichael, Eric Koston, Sal Masekela, Dave Mirra and the boys, the cheapest foursome spots are going for $20,000. The Gold super VIP package requires a $50,000 donation. We think that package includes getting your balls washed by The Hills Star Audrina Patridge, but don’t quote us on that. (Damn, there we go again. Sorry.)
Golfing sucks, so if you’re going to golf, might as well do it for a good cause. And Ryan doesn’t have to do this stuff, but he does. And that’s pretty cool.

A little over a month ago April Margera (Bam’s Mother) wanted to do something nice for the local community so she put out a challenge:
Raise $200,000 for the Cares Food Network of Union Street in West Chester by Aug. 31. In return, Margera promised the top individual raiser a home-cooked meal at the Margera house, with the top-raising team earning a picnic at the home of Bam and his wife, Missy.
So far only two teams have signed up to raise money. April, you’re doing amazing work, but maybe the prize should be something that people actually want? We’re guessing (and it’s a completely uneducated guess) that West Chester has gotten more than it’s fill of the Margera family over the past few years.

The South African Weekend Post would like us all to know that after “a string of celebrity relationships behind him, including busty Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson, it seems Billabong Pro champion Kelly Slater has settled for the girl next door,” with Roxy girl Kalani Miller.
Down-to-earth Miller, 20, who is a Roxy women‘s surfwear ambassador, is definitely a refreshing change from other big name celebs Slater has been involved with like Anderson, supermodel Gisele Bundchen and movie actresses Cameron Diaz and Kirsten Dunst.
Yes, and Kalani is probably a large part of what Kelly has described as “great things going on in my life.”

Taking a bigger step into high fashion Hurley International has signed up “Leonardo DiCaprio’s main squeeze” Bar Refaeli for a new campaign.
She will appear for the brand’s spring 2009 runway show as part of Los Angeles Fashion Week in October. Refaeli, 23, might even lend a hand in designing some of Hurley’s collections. “Anyone can hire a model,” said Lyndsey Roach, Hurley’s vice president of marketing for the young contemporary division. “We wanted to do something different. She lives this lifestyle.”
Yep, we’re thinking Refaeli’s assets ought to move some units for the H.

At the ESPN ESPY Awards on Thursday night snowboarder Gretchen Bleiler won the award for best female action sports athlete. She edged out skier Lindsey Vonn, surfer Stephanie Gilmore, motocrosser Jessica Patterson, and snowboarder Lindsey Jacobellis.
That’s a huge award,” said an elated Bleiler on Thursday, following a long night of post-awards parties. “All these athletes were there, all these football players, the Boston Celtics, so many amazing people, and just even to be nominated is an honor. To win one, it’s a huge honor.”
