We’ve always known the guy’s had skills, but Steve Olson’s latest gig as Boardwalk Empire star Paz de la Huerta’s strolling companion was even hard for us to imagine. Funny thing is, the British tabloids don’t know who “the mystery man” is.
Here’s what the Daily Mail is saying:
He looks old enough to be her father, is so badly turned out he could be accused of not owning a mirror, and carries a skateboard to perhaps retain a sense of his youth. . . But believe it all not this grey-haired man, who appears to be stuck in a timewarp has someone managed to tempt 26-year-old actress Paz de la Huerta. . . The Boardwalk Empire didn’t seem to care who was watching today as she shared a very public embrace with the mystery man in New York City.
Apparently, the Daily Mail gossip pages are still being written by shriveled up old ladies. To us it looks like Steve is keeping the whole “Mr. Lucky” thing rolling along quite nicely. Click the link for more photos.

The 60-year-old woman who beat Bam Margera with a piece of pipe on June 12, 2010 was sentenced to two years probation last month (June 13, 2011), according to a story in the Daily Local News.
On Monday, Elizabeth “Liz” Ray, 60, of South Matlack Street, West Chester, entered guilty pleas to charges of recklessly endangering another person and simple assault in front of Common Pleas Court Judge Anthony Sarcione, who proceeded to sentence her to two years probation after a brief hearing.
Apparently, Bam told the judge he didn’t want to see the woman serve jail time. Nice of him, huh?

We can’t imagine a more perfect guest for lascivious vodka slut Chelsea Handler than Kelly Slater; especially when he comes baring gifts. She questions him on David Hasselhoff, bikinis, Laird Hamilton, Gabi Reece and more. She was remarkably polite and lady like. And Kelly was smooth as butter as usual, “I could probably kick your ass,” Slater said.

Actor and “stuntman” Ryan Dunn, 34, who was probably our favorite of the guys made famous by MTV’s Jackass TV show and movies died in a car crash around 3 AM this morning (Monday, June 20, 2011) according to a story on the Washington Post.
West Goshen Township police confirmed that the prankster and an unidentified passenger were killed when Dunn’s Porsche went off Route 322 in Pennsylvania and burst into flames around 3 a.m. on Monday. Speed may have been a factor in the crash, according to the Associated Press.
Dunn had reportedly posted a photo earlier in the evening of him drinking with two friends. Dunn most recently was the host of Proving Grounds: Where Trial Meets Error a new series which just premiered on the G4 Network on June 14, 2011 (click here to watch a promo clip). Our thoughts are with Dunn’s family and friends.

For a guy responsible for millions of kids sitting indoors all day playing video games, it is so quaint that Tony Hawk announced today (May 12, 2011) that he is launching a 24 volume series of SF adventure novels for kids 10 – 14 titled, Tony Hawk’s 900 Revolution with Capstone Publishing Group, according to a story on Publishers Weekly.
The series is inspired by Hawk’s feat, first accomplished in 1999: successfully completing in a competition a 2.5 revolution, 900 degree aerial spin on his skateboard. The premise behind the series is that when Hawk lands his initial 900-degree aerial spin, a mysterious force shatters his skateboard, catapulting pieces of it all over the world. A group of teenagers set out on a quest to collect the pieces of the magical skateboard, and put it together again, thus restoring its powers.
We’d get critical, but at this point anything that gets kids away from the video games is fine with us. Happy birthday, Tony!

For the past 10 years news producer Tammy Haddad has thrown a brunch party at her home the morning before the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, DC.
The brunch features one of the most exclusive guest lists on the celebrity party circuit. For today’s event (April 30, 2011), aside from inviting Sarah Palin, Scarlett Johansson, and Rupert and Wendi Murdoch, Haddad invited Shaun White, according to a story in the Chicago Sun-Times.
The Georgetown brunch was sponsored by Tammy Haddad and Ted Greenberg; Kevin Sheekey, Hilary Rosen, Mark Ein, Alex Castellanos, Anita Dunn, Bill Knapp, Jim Courtovich, David Adler, Steve McMahon and Franco Nuschese. . . Two charities were highlighted : CURE Epilepsy, founded by Susan Axelrod, whose husband, David, is a key Obama advisor and White Ribbon Alliance, overseen by Wendi Murdoch, married to media mogul Rupert.
We’re guessing this is one of those parties that CAA requires Shaun to attend. After looking at Shaun’s posh garb there really is no other explanation.
