Z-Flex <\/strong>brought two legendary skateboarders together to create the first board in the company’s Master Crafted Series<\/strong>. The first board was designed and built by Jay Adams<\/strong> and Paul Schmitt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The \u2018Masters\u2019 of skateboarding are the pioneers of the sport, the skaters who paved the way for skateboarding today, and the skaters that are still out there ripping 20+ years later. There\u2019s only one \u2018Master\u2019 that we could possibly start this series with, and that\u2019s the original seed of skateboarding himself, Jay Adams, in collaboration with the legendary skateboard craftsman, Paul Schmitt. . . Jay and Paul worked hand in hand in creating a unique board for Jay\u2019s style to help him skate better than he\u2019s ever skated before. . . \u201cJay was super stoked about the Master Crafted Jay Adams deck,\u201d said his wife Tracy Adams<\/strong>. \u201cHe said it was the first time in his life he ever designed a board himself. Z-Flex takes literal meaning of Master Crafted with Jay Adams and Paul Schmitt<\/strong>
\nTaking the literal meaning of Master and Crafted, The Z-Flex Master Crafted series is made up of unique boards by unique skateboarders.<\/p>\n

\u201cJay was super stoked about the Master Crafted Jay Adams deck,\u201d said his wife Tracy Adams. \u201cHe said it was the first time in his life he ever designed a board himself. He knew EXACTLY what size board, what shape and length the nose and tail should be, where the wheel wells should be\u2026..EVERYTHING.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tracy explained that on the day they went to the “Professor\u2019s” shop to shape the deck, Jay was so excited \u2013 like a kid in a candy store.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe went in with a specific design in mind and Paul was able to help him make his \u2018dream skateboard deck\u2019 and Jay had so much fun running the different saws, shaving the sides\u2026the whole process from design to finish,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

This graphic was conceived of and themed by Jay Adams, and was created using reference photos supplied by Jay. The theme revolves around Jay pulling his \u201cZipperhead\u201d open, and allowing parts of his life to be shown in the escaping smoke.<\/p>\n

The final product is a board fit for Jay coming in at 9 3\/8\u201d wide X 33 1\u017d4\u201d long and a 15\u201d wheelbase.<\/p>\n

\u201cJay skated with such a unique and amazing style… this board is what he believed would ride the best for his style\u2026 I wish he was here to see how much everyone is going to be stoked on his design.\u201d \u2013 Tracy Adams<\/p>\n

Proceeds from the sales of this board will go directly to Jay\u2019s family. RIP Jay Boy.<\/p>\n
