Now, Mr. Merchant appears to have purchased a new place on the point at <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps\/place?gl=us&amp;cid=12321264696498566144&amp;ved=0CCYQjAUwAA&amp;sa=X&amp;ei=DSa6S_-aJIGKtQOgr6HUAQ\" target=\"_blank\">Agnes Water<\/a><\/strong>, Queensland for $3.8 million, according to a story in the <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gladstoneobserver.com.au\/story\/2010\/04\/06\/billabong-gordon-merchant-agnes-waters-property\/\" target=\"_blank\">Gladsotne Observer<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Mr Merchant snapped up the timber \u201cbeach shack\u201d for a bargain basement $3.8m after the property had once been on the market for a reported $17m. . . The modest high-set timber house sits on 3846sqm of land looking straight into the waves at well-known surf break Agnes Point.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The lot reportedly has enough space for Mr. Merchant to land his helicopter.
