The Tahoe faithful gathered again at Donner Ski Ranch<\/a><\/strong> today (March 27, 2010) for the Legends of Tahoe<\/strong> party and competition. This year’s comp: a GS race for pre-1993 snowboards. Norm Saylor<\/strong> was noticeably absent from the proceedings (although he watched the whole thing from his deck), Tom Burt<\/strong> was ageless as usual, and Pastor Jim Rippey<\/strong> (on the blue course) slayed the GS to edge Salty Peak’s<\/a><\/strong> Dennis Nazari<\/strong> for the win.<\/p>\n

Inducted into official Tahoe Legend status at the end of the day where Billy Olson<\/strong>, Kirsten Bedard<\/strong>, ISM<\/strong> Founder Tom Hsieh<\/strong>, and snowboard event organizer Tom Collins<\/strong>. As Hsieh said during his acceptance speech, “Shaun White<\/strong> may be the world’s most important snowboarder, but he’s only that because he stands on all on your shoulders.”<\/p>\n

The names of the inductees will be added to the perpetual Legends of Tahoe trophy on display in the Donner Ski Ranch lodge.<\/p>\n
