Yep. Looks like you can’t stop the man in black. Shaun White proved once again that he is the greatest halfpipe rider in the history of snowboarding no matter what he wears. We were hoping for something a little more dramatic, but White looks good in black.
Scotty Lago jawed his way into second place with Louie Vito dancing into third.
We heard Kazu-san was underscored. On Twitter former X Games announcer Todd Richards said: “Come on? Kazu gets the shaft.”
The US Ski and Snowboard Association announced their “Pro Halfpipe” team and aside from Greg Bretz and Louie Vito it’s all girl action in the pro ranks. As we’ve said for years, all the US Snowboard Team does during non-Olympic years is fill uniforms. Aside from bronze medalist Kelly Clark none of the Vancouver Olympic medal winners stayed on the team. Wonder if that hurts any feelings at USSA?
Tony Hawk gets Chaz Ortiz and Dancing With the Stars Louie Vito to demonstrate the new skate-snow crossover video game Tony Hawk Shred, the Swiss Army knife of video games. . . looks kind of confusing.
Tonight (September 21, 2009) the new season of the hit ABC series Dancing With The Stars kicks off with a two-hour live show featuring our favorite dancing snowboarder Louie Vito. In an email sent out to industry heads on Sunday, 686’s Mike West encouraged everyone to vote often for Louie.
I’m going to be heading to the live show to give support (as well as get my laugh on…) Yeah, I know there’s been mixed opinions on why he’s doing this (Not to mention he’s all hip hop, only wears XXL and can’t dance to save his life) But at the end of the day, LV’s gonna make the best of it-While we get to laugh our asses off in a good way. . . If you agree, vote for Louie.
