3×1 Founder and Designer Scott Morrison has partnered with fashion photographer Ben Watts to create a limited edition series of skateboards to help raise money for charities selected by the girls featured on the boards.
Lovely ladies Jessica Hart, Lake Bell, Elsa Hosk, Behati Prinsloo and Chanel Iman were shot in 3×1 jeans and little else for five board designs including 3×1’s logo along with Ben’s signature diamond motif and Hipstamatic lens borders. The set (400 USD), individual boards (100 USD) and 3×1’s selvedge denim bag are now available at 3×1.us, along with other stellar denim gear.
There’s just something about half naked girls on skateboards. . . oh, and good causes like Food on Foot, Polaris Project, Goods for Good and Keep A Child Alive. The boards will be officially unveiled on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 3×1 at 15 Mercer Street, NYC.
As it appears that we are the number one Google search result for the term: “Hot Girls Holding Skateboards.” We figure we’ll just play right into one of our strengths with the girls of Akihabara Japan’s AKB48 as seen on Skate & Annoy.
Apparently, AKB48 is some kind of Japanese “idol” group. If you know, you know.
It seems like one of those obvious things, but according to a new report published in the Social Psychological and Personality Science being in the presence of attractive women made male skateboarders attempt more difficult tricks, according to a post on the Chronicle of Higher Learning.
The study also found that the men had higher testosterone levels in the presence of the attractive woman, which, the authors theorize, may have led them to take more risks, presumably to impress her.
Sounds like it might not be a bad idea to take some heaters along on your next skate filming outing. Click the link to download the entire article in a PDF.
Here’s a rad idea: Hot girls as skateboard graphics. Beverly Skates is apparently back (not really sure what their story was last time around) and they’re ready to rock:
Located in Beverly Hills California our small skateboard company strives for perfection. We try to uphold the high standards of our community, at the same time leave an open invitation for you to be a part of it. Beverly Skates was founded upon principals that put our heart and soul into our product as much as you the skater have chosen to put your heart and soul into skateboarding.
“You the skater?” This should fit in nicely at The Crossroads.
Skate and Annoy’s Kilwag alerted us this morning to a set of photos of mostly naked girls holding skateboards from a British lad mag Front which apparently features “Britain’s fittest girls.” Here’s what he said about it:
The latest issue tells readers to “Put on your kneepads, take out your shiny helmet and do some serious grinding as Rosie and Hettie go skate!” Errr, yeah. Rosie and Hettie seem more interested in other activities actually. I’m going to go out on a limb and call them, ahem, posers! Yes, I am that witty!
Whenever we see the words “swimsuit issue” we always think of that old issue of Transworld Skateboarding Magazine that was teased as a “Special Swimsuit Issue.” Remember? This issue of Surfing Magazine is not that. This is a bunch of bikinis on skinny girls. Hot girls are so hot right now. Especially when they’re lounging around in the sun, glistening with sweat, and nearly naked. Because, you know, they’re just waiting to make all your dreams come true. They’re open, willing, and available right there in the pages. Creep out, kids. . .
Dion Agius surfs. Hot girls pout around a deserted Mexican mansion in fashion swimwear. And there’s a voice over in Español. What more could you ask for in a Globe video.
Dudes, Skullcandy would like you to take all that passion you feel for big boobs, flat stomachs and tight assesKate Upton and transfer it to their headphones. Yes, they want you horny, horny, horny for headphones. And to help get everyone there, they’re going to inundate us with nearly naked hot girls as part of their new Skullcandy supermodel crew.
Joining Kate Upton in the horny for headphones fest are Chrissy Teigen, Jessica Stam, and Chanel Iman. And look, they’re posing with a surfboard, BMX bike, and skateboard. How action sporty cute is that? And the best part–someone in the Skullcandy marketing department probably thinks this whole tired effort is “killer.”
