\u201cRobert Wright<\/strong> and the late Jonas Bevacqua<\/strong><\/a> founded the Irvine-based urban streetwear brand\u2014 better known as LRG\u2014in 1999 to serve as \u201ca bridge between skateboarding and hip hop. . . “In the months we have spent getting to know each other Mad Engine has shown a commitment to LRG\u2019s future,\u201d Wright said in a statement. \u201cI am optimistic about this new chapter which creates the ability to grow the LRG brand and creates new opportunities and experiences for those involved.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Mad Engine is a licensing company that works with major consumer brands like Disney<\/strong>, Coca Cola<\/strong>, and Mars<\/strong> and then distributes it through Walmart<\/strong>, Hot Topic<\/strong>, Kohls<\/strong>, Target<\/strong>, et al.  This likely means that LRG sales likely be bigger than they’ve ever been very soon.
