Kyle Kennedy Named Publisher of SNOWBOARD Magazine<\/p>\n

BOULDER, CO (December 17, 2013) – SNOWBOARD magazine is pleased to announce the appointment of industry veteran Kyle Kennedy to the position of Publisher of SNOWBOARD, effective immediately.<\/p>\n

Kennedy brings to the staff more than two decades of industry experience, having served as the Director of Sales at Academy Snowboards, co-founding kidsKNOW distribution with Mike LeBlanc, and most recently acting as the National Sales Manager for Snowboarder magazine where he fortified his relationships with core brands within the industry.<\/p>\n

\u201cKyle brings a wealth of sales and marketing knowledge to our crew,\u201d says Editor-in-Chief Susie Floros. \u201cHis connections in the industry run deep, and his motivation and love of the sport is inspiring. I have no doubt that Kyle\u2019s going to help us continue to take SNOWBOARD to the next level.\u201d<\/p>\n

In his role, Kennedy will be responsible for all strategy related to sales, marketing, partnerships and branding. Kennedy will manage the media-sales team, oversee all aspects of revenue generation for the SNOWBOARD brand, and play a strategic role in the editorial direction of the media products.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been a fan of SNOWBOARD mag since its inception a decade ago,\u201d says Kennedy. \u201cFor years the magazine has shaken-up the industry with its iconic covers, beautiful product photography, premium paper, design and amazing stories. The fact that there is no sacrifice to superior production quality in print is a huge thing in my book. I\u2019m excited to be a part of the SNOWBOARD mag crew and to produce amazing content.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kennedy will join Photo Editor Tim Peare, Senior Editor Nate Deschenes and Art Director John Alvino in California. The rest of the team, including Editor-in-Chief Susie Floros, Online Editor Kelli Hargrove and Digital Manager Jon Glass – will remain headquartered in the Boulder offices, providing the magazine with a broad reach from SoCal to the Colorado mountains.<\/p>\n
