Chad Muska<\/strong> has updated his Supra Skytop<\/strong><\/a> with with the release of the Skytop IV<\/strong><\/a>. Here’s what he has to say about it:<\/p>\n

We really wanted to create a shoe that you could go skate with the homies in, then come home, put a fresh pair on, and go out at night in\u2014one to skate, one to chill.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nLos Angeles, CA \u2014 The Chad Muska signature Skytop legacy continues with the much-anticipated pre-release of the Skytop IV. Skytop purists will love the return to the high top style, and the subtle allusions to its ancestors, but that\u2019s where the familiarity ends because there\u2019s little else about the shoe\u2019s radical design that is common to anything, even its own groundbreaking heritage.<\/p>\n

“The Skytop IV is something completely new,\u201d Muska said. \u201cIt\u2019s pushing footwear design into the future, it\u2019s merging worlds, and different genres\u2014it\u2019s high fashion meets high performance athletic footwear. The Skytop is as much a shoe as it is a philosophy. Since it\u2019s inception in 2006, it\u2019s been a reflection of Chad Muska’s passion for art, creativity, and progression, while at the same time it embodies the spirit of a skateboarder rebelling against traditional mainstream culture and anything the masses consider popular and safe. Chad, it can be said, is on a journey, and the path he walks is in the Skytop IV.<\/p>\n

The first limited edition model that is being pre-released for the holidays is outfitted in a deep, black waxed suede. A short list of the many features include:<\/p>\n

Short eye stay with a long, clean vamp
\nRibbed padding on an extra tall tongue and heel inset
\nBlack TPR inset pad that accepts pyramid rivets for affixing removable padded shroud (shroud is available for holiday styles only)
\nIndustrial-style arm bar with hexagonal rivet detail
\nDurable red heel pull
\nPadded red and grey mesh lining
\nLightweight, black SUPRAFOAM midsole with a ridged heel accent and unique sidewall line
\nTranslucent rubber outsole<\/p>\n
