Now, an Australian developer named <strong>Brad Shaw<\/strong> is reportedly building a skatepark in Guangzhou, China that will be the largest in the world, according to a story in the <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.smh.com.au\/small-business\/growing\/aussie-builds-worlds-largest-skateboard-park-20130920-2u40l.html\" target=\"_blank\">Sydney Morning Herald<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The 17,000 square metro park \u2013 about as big as four football fields \u2013 is being built on the grounds of a conglomerate of universities, the Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Centre, in the extreme sports area. . . It\u2019s likely demand for the park\u2019s facilities \u2013 which are free to use \u2013 will be high. The mega centre is home to 10 universities, more than 160,000 students and 20,000 staff, many of which are in walking distance of the facility.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Shaw&#8217;s company is called <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sk8scapes.com.au\" target=\"_blank\">Sk8scapes<\/a><\/strong>, and from the looks of the parks he&#8217;s built in the past, this new one is a seriously ambitious leap. But hey, why not go big in China?
