{"id":4147,"date":"2009-01-16T08:24:11","date_gmt":"2009-01-16T16:24:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.boardistan.com\/?p=4147"},"modified":"2009-01-16T08:24:13","modified_gmt":"2009-01-16T16:24:13","slug":"dillon-colorado-grips-down-on-urban-riders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.boardistan.com\/?p=4147","title":{"rendered":"Dillon Colorado Grips Down On Urban Riders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The city of Dillon, Colorado has had so much trouble with snowboarders riding their urban locales that they&#8217;ve adopted a &#8220;zero tolerance&#8221; approach and are &#8220;confiscating equipment from those riders caught sliding down handrails and concrete barriers around town,&#8221; according to a story in the <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.summitdaily.com\/article\/20090115\/NEWS\/901159972\/1078&amp;ParentProfile=1055&amp;title=Dillon%20snowboarding%20dispute%20ends%20with%20fines\" target=\"_blank\">Summit Daily<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe\u2019re hoping this gets the message across that this wont be tolerated,\u201d Dillon Police Chief <strong>Joe Wray<\/strong> said. \u201cWe have tried numerous things in the past to discourage it, but now the message is: If you get caught, we will now go for your pocketbook.\u201d . . . Those caught riding rails were fined $100, plus $400 in advance should they break the same law again in the next 12 months. The individuals filming the stunts were fined $150 plus $350 held in advance. . . .
