The Roxy Pro Snapper Rocks <\/a><\/strong>is goes live on day one of the waiting period. The men’s Quiksilver Pro<\/strong> is on standby currently. There really isn’t one heat to miss on the women’s side. Courtney Conlogue<\/strong> is currently in the water with Malia Manuel<\/strong> and Silvana Lima<\/strong> in Heat 1.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe swell has filled in this morning and there are some good waves coming through from behind the rock,\u201d Rich Porta<\/strong>, ASP International Head Judge, said. \u201cIt\u2019s about three-to-four foot with cross-shore winds and we expect conditions to improve throughout the day as the tide drops. Women\u2019s Round 1 will start at 7:30am with Round 1 and the opening round of men\u2019s competition on standby.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

SNAPPER ROCKS, Queensland\/Australia (Saturday, February 25, 2012) \u2013 Pulsing three-to-four foot (1 metro) swell is filling in at Snapper Rocks today ushering in the start of the 2012 ASP Women\u2019s World Championship Tour season with the Roxy Pro Gold Coast presented by Land Rover commencing at 7:30am.<\/p>\n

Event No. 1 of 7 on the 2012 ASP Women\u2019s World Championship Tour season, the Roxy Pro Gold Coast will feature the world\u2019s best female surfers including reigning ASP Women\u2019s World Champion Carissa Moore (HAW), 19, four-time ASP Women\u2019s World Champion Stephanie Gilmore (AUS), 24, winner of last week\u2019s ASP 6-Star Australian Open of Surfing Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS), 21, and a host of others.<\/p>\n
