Alaska Tailgate<\/a><\/strong> founder Mark Sullivan<\/strong> is happy to announce that he has signed a new title sponsorship agreement with Flow Snowboarding<\/a><\/strong> which will come in handy now that there are two events, (Tailgate Alaska and Tailgate BC) on the 2012 schedule.<\/p>\n

Flow Snowboarding CEO Anthony Scaturro, \u201cWe are very excited to step up as the title sponsor for the Tailgate events. 2012 will be Flow\u2019s third year of involvement. We have seen the event change lives and educate people on backcountry riding, which we hope will help save lives. While the competition component is a great part of the event, we love the fact that it is more about community than competition. It is a composition of freeriding, backcountry freestyle infused with a whole lot of fun. At Tailgate, everyone is a winner\u201c. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Flow Tailgate Alaska will return to Thompson Pass next season, bringing together dedicated recreational riders, professional athletes and the industry to ride the world\u2019s best mountains and deepest snow – with dramatically increased levels of hospitality and infrastructure. <\/p>\n

The new agreement has allowed Flow and Tailgate to expand to a second stop – taking some of the best of Alaska and bringing it to an equally inspiring venue – Revelstoke, British Columbia.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo us, it is important to make events in the world\u2019s best locations. Our goal is to share the best mountains and snow conditions in the world, and there are only so many places that fit the bill. Revelstoke is definitely one of those places.\u201d said event founder Mark Sullivan.<\/p>\n

Flow Tailgate BC is the first step in expanding the participation event concept that has been the hallmark of Tailgate Alaska, to a worldwide audience. \u201cEventually we would like to do events in all of the places that have world class backcountry riding, which could mean expanding into European and Asian markets.\u201d said Sullivan.<\/p>\n

Flow Tailgate Alaska also plays host to the Flow World Freeride Championships, with a $10,000 pay out for the champion and running from April 1-12, 2012. Flow Tailgate BC will run from March 8-12, 2012. Tickets will be available shortly for both events, with tickets limited to 150 for the inaugural Flow Tailgate BC. <\/p>\n
