On the list of skateboarding innovations only the urethane wheel may have had a more important impact. And now, <strong>I.E. Distribution<\/strong> (parent company of <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldindustries.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">World Industries<\/a><\/strong>) has picked up a &#8220;multi-year&#8221; license agreement to produce skateboarding prouducts with the brand.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe\u2019re pleased to be working with the Makaha people,&#8221; <strong>John Dickinson<\/strong>, i.e. distribution President. &#8220;While planning our growth in the longboard and cruiser category we felt it best to work with a brand that has roots in the culture. Follow the jump for the official word from I.E.<!--more-->i.e. distribution to Continue the Legacy of the Original Professional Skateboard Brand, Makaha<\/p>\n<p>COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA \u2013 (September 30, 2011) i.e. distribution announces they have reached a multi-year license agreement to produce products in the skateboard category with the iconic skateboard brand, Makaha. i.e. distribution is set to launch their initial offering along side the Makaha documentary \u201cMakaha, The Story of the Originator\u201d, in Spring of 2012 with a small early offering slotted for Holiday 2011. Their initial line of longboard and cruiser skateboards will continue in the Makaha brand\u2019s current distribution of independent skateboard and select mid-tier retailers. <\/p>\n<p>John Dickinson, i.e. distribution President, \u201cWe\u2019re pleased to be working with the Makaha people.
