He was northbound on North Mountain Avenue on his skateboard before the accident occurred and was not wearing a helmet. No motor vehicles are believed to have played a role in the accident, police said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Brooks in currently in critical condition in the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/oregon.providence.org\/patients\/facilities\/providence-medford-medical-center\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Providence Medford Medical Center<\/a><\/strong>.
