The finals of the Maloof Money Cup Best Line<\/b> Competition were held yesterday (August 23, 2011) at the Magic Trade Show<\/b> in Las Vegas, Nevada. <\/p>\n
Ronnie Creager<\/b> rolled away with first place and $10,000 in cash for a line that included a “smith grind 270 out, a switchtail 270 out to a switchcrook half-cab flipout.”<\/p>\n
Not bad. Morgan Smith<\/b> and Kurtis Colamonico<\/b> finished in second and third. <\/p>\n

The Finals for the Best Line Contest were held in Las Vegas on the MAGIC tradeshow floor (MAGIC is the largest fashion tradeshow in the U.S.) Tuesday afternoon and marked the culmination of the four-month long Maloof Road Tour that visited 12 cities throughout the U.S. hosting contests to find the best young skaters.<\/p>\n
Final Results:
\n1st Ronnie Creager — $10,000
\n2nd Morgan Smith — $5,000
\n3rd Kurtis Colamonico — $2500<\/p>\n
Creager’s winning line included a smith grind 270 out, a switchtail 270 out to a switchcrook half-cab flipout. Creager is a twenty-year veteran from Orange County, Calif known for his technical skateboarding, as well as his humility and friendliness.<\/p>\n
Held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center as part of the new Ride Unltd. action sports initiative at MAGIC, the fashion industry\u2019s largest event; Maloof Skateboarding and MAGIC flew in skate retailers from around the U.S. to attend the show.<\/p>\n
“When we started working with MAGIC, our goal was to make MAGIC a skateboarding industry destination like it once was. We’ve seen a huge growth in skateboarding industry involvement and we’re very excited as we look to the future of this partnership,” said Tim McFerran, GM of Maloof Money Cup.<\/p>\n
