Not a bad incentive. After the first round of the event it appears that <strong>Jordy Smith<\/strong> is currently leading the WTA with his 16.87 over <strong>Sean Holmes<\/strong> and <strong>Adam Melling<\/strong> in Round 1, Heat 5. Follow the jump for more details.<!--more-->SECOND STOP OF THE 2011 NIXON WTA HEADED TO SOUTH AFRICA<br \/>\nJeffreys Bay slated as the next stop of the Billabong Pro<\/p>\n<p>ENCINITAS, CA-The second stop of this year\u2019s Nixon WTA (Winner-Takes-All) will be held at the Billabong Pro Jeffreys Bay, July 14-24. As one of the favored venues for the WCT, Jeffreys Bay has the potential to generate high heat scores due to the nature of the wave, making it favorable for riders to showcase everything from barrels to multi-dimensional maneuvers.<\/p>\n<p>The surfer with the highest heat score during the 10-day event will be deemed the WTA winner for the stop. From the trials to the finals, each wave is considered during the judging process, making each heat a contest of its own.<\/p>\n<p>Now in its fifth consecutive year, The Nixon WTA is a winner-takes-all event along four stops of the 2011 ASP (Association of Surfing Professionals) World Tour. Challenges in this year\u2018s Nixon WTA included Biggest Air (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) won by Josh Kerr, with future stops to include Highest Heat Score (Jeffreys Bay, South Africa), Heaviest Wave (Teahupoo, Tahiti), and Triple Crown Winner (Oahu, Hawaii). One winner in each category at each location will be awarded a Nixon watch valued at over $10,000 USD.
