Last week the resort added another fail to <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.boardistan.com\/index.php?s=whistler+fail\" target=\"_blank\">their growing list of lift screw-ups<\/a><\/strong> when they stranded a 25-year-old woman in a gondola over night, according to a story in the <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.whistlerquestion.com\/article\/20110308\/WHISTLER01\/110309984\/-1\/whistler\/woman-spends-night-in-gondola-cabin\" target=\"_blank\">Whistler Question<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The woman, who speaks English as a second language, thought she was downloading from Base II, or mid-station, on Blackcomb to Whistler Village between 5:30 and 6 p.m. last Tuesday (March 1), said <strong>Doug Forseth<\/strong>, Whistler Blackcomb&#8217;s (WB) senior VP of operations. . . But she loaded the Excalibur heading up to the top of Blackcomb and got stuck overnight when the lift stopped operating.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The woman did not have a cellphone, according to the story. A lift host apparently loaded the woman on the up side of the gondola by mistake and no one noticed until 7:15 AM when they started the lift up for the day. &#8220;There was a mistake made\u2026 just pure and simple human error,&#8221; said <strong>Forseth<\/strong> is quoted saying.
