The ASP 2011 World Tour is officially underway right now at the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n

[Link: <\/strong>Quiksilver Pro<\/a><\/strong>]<\/strong>GOLD COAST, Queensland\/Australia (Saturday, February 26, 2011) \u2013The 2011 ASP World Title season is set to commence this morning with Round 1 of the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast presented by Land Rover opening in two-to-three foot (1 metre) waves at Snapper Rocks at 7:30am.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe’ll be taking advantage of the swell on offer this morning and commencing competition at 7:30am with the men\u2019s Round 1,\u201d Rich Porta, ASP Head Judge, said. \u201cWe\u2019ve put the women\u2019s Round 1 on standby and will monitor conditions throughout the day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kicking off the 2011 ASP World Title season this morning is Adrian Buchan (AUS), 28, Heitor Alves (BRA), 28, and Julian Wilson (AUS), 22, in the opening heat of Round 1.<\/p>\n

The event will be broadcast LIVE on free-to-air with One HD.
\nThe Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast will be webcast LIVE via http:\/\/www.quiksilverpro.com<\/p>\n

Running in conjunction with the men\u2019s event will be the Roxys Pro Gold Coast presented by Land Rover, the opening event in the ASP Women\u2019s World Title season.<\/p>\n
