Shasta Snowboarder Found Dead"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The body of <strong>Alexander Gautreaux<\/strong>, the 23-year-old Mt. Shasta, California snowboarder who went missing at Northern California&#8217;s <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/skipark.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mt. Shasta Ski Park<\/a><\/strong> on Thursday February 17, 2011 was found Sunday morning (February 20, 2011), according to a story in the <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.redding.com\/news\/2011\/feb\/20\/missing-mt-shasta-snowboarder-found-dead\/\" target=\"_blank\">Record Searchlight<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Gautreaux was found around 9 a.m. near the southeast side of Coyote Butte, about 100 feet from park boundaries, said Siskiyou County sheriff\u2019s Capt. Jim Betts. . . Betts said it&#8217;s also not yet known what killed Gautreaux, who was found almost completely buried in snow, but he suspects asphyxiation at this point.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Gautreaux had gone missing Thursday after calling his family to let them know he was making &#8220;one more run&#8221; according to the <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/breaking-news\/ci_17432818\" target=\"_blank\">San Jose Mercury News<\/a><\/em><\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p>While search and rescue workers were looking for Gautreaux they rescued another &#8220;lone snowboarder who had fallen and landed upside down in a tree well.&#8221; This is the 15th <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.boardistan.com\/index.php?s=snowboard+death\" target=\"_blank\">snowboard death<\/a><\/strong> in North America in the past two months. Be careful out there.
