The Annual Bear Mountain<\/a><\/strong> Hot Dawgs & Hand Rails<\/a><\/strong> event on Saturday September 18, 2010 was a reminder that Tahoe Dangerzone<\/a><\/strong> star Nick Visconti<\/strong> isn’t just another sports model with a pretty face, pleasing physique, and melodious singing voice. No, he’s a real-deal rail slayer.<\/p>\n

Venice, CA – September 21, 2010 – Arbor Snowboards is proud to announce that international team rider, Nick Visconti has won Bear Mountain\u2019s Hot Dawgz & Hand Rails 2010. Visconti went up against some of North America\u2019s top professional rail riders, including several past winners, on his way to victory. \u201cI felt like I rode hard and landed progressive and creative tricks on each feature,\u201d says Nick Visconti. \u201cThe level of riding was amazing. Literally on another level. Any one of the competitors could have taken first because everyone was destroying it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Visconti landed his tricks with style and pulled some unconventional crowd pleasers like his 5-0 through the Red Bull planter box to front flip out, a couple of one-footer wall-ride variations and his patented tuck-knee boardslide. \u201cNick seemed incredibly determined from the beginning, but kept it loose with some fun variations,\u201d says Arbor marketing and team manager, Brad Farmer. \u201cHe was landing trick after trick on all of the features with his creative combos and the one footers…he just killed it.\u201d<\/p>\n

More than 6,000 people showed up to see some of the best professional snowboarders compete in the world\u2019s largest pre-season snowboarding event. The rider list was stacked and some serious riding was on display as competitors battled it out for a $20,000 cash purse. \u201cNot only were there thousands of people critiquing my every move, but there were 35 phenomenal snowboarders competing against me\u23af<\/span>not to mention the world\u2019s best snowboarder judges.\u201d Visconti took home $7500 cash when HDHR judges JP Walker, Seth Huot, Nima Jalali, Johnny Miller and Joey Sexton confirmed his win. \u201cI\u2019m just stoked there were great vibes, tons of sun rays, beautiful babes and lots of friends all celebrating snowboarding,\u201d says Visconti.<\/p>\n

Arbor signed on as Bear Mountain\u2019s official snowboard sponsor just before the event and Visconti\u2019s win helped them seal the deal. \u201cThis pre-season win combined with his ridiculous opening part in Think Thank\u2019s new movie is an amazing way for Nick to start off what is sure to be a wild year…the kind of wild only Nicki Fresh can make happen,\u201d adds Farmer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
