\"Agenda<\/a><\/p>\n

Some pretty large brands were missing from the ASR show floor this September. While a few disappeared from the San Diego trade show scene completely (Analog<\/strong>, Podium<\/strong>), others like WESC<\/a><\/strong>, Nikita<\/a><\/strong>, Sole Technology<\/a><\/strong>, Gravis<\/a><\/strong>, Supra<\/a><\/strong>, and 686<\/a><\/strong> all opted for little stalls at the Agenda Trade Show<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Located less than a mile away from the San Diego Convention Center in the San Diego Concourse, Agenda is five and half years old and has shadowed ASR’s dates eleven times. But this is the first time we’ve ever made it over to see the much talked about show in person.<\/p>\n

This year Agenda featured 107 brands (The Hundreds<\/a><\/strong>, Cre8tive Recreation<\/a><\/strong>, Crooks & Castles<\/a><\/strong>, Obey<\/a><\/strong>, etc. . . ) which cater to the T-shirts and sneakers boutique crowd.<\/p>\n

Agenda likes getting people from ASR to come over for a visit. They like it so much that they have 12 limos running all day to shuttle “guests” back and forth between the shows. The limos were hot and stinky and the “10 minute ride” seemed much longer.<\/p>\n

\nThe Concourse, which is basically a beat down concert hall with faded carpet, made Agenda look more like a flee market than a trade show. But the place was loaded with product.<\/p>\n

\"Bag1-1-1\"<\/a>Damon Way<\/strong> and the incase<\/strong> crew had the amazing new P.Rod travel bags<\/a><\/strong> and the best iPhone 3G<\/strong> cases on the market. The Hundreds<\/a><\/strong> yelled at us for snapping a blurry photo of their boosted Disney<\/strong> graphics, “No photos please, we don’t want trouble from Disney.” Obviously they do or they wouldn’t have used them all over the outside of the black box booth. And then we left.
\nWe probably expected too much, but Agenda was underwhelming. And we’re guessing that’s exactly how most of the brands exhibiting there like it.<\/p>\n

\nSole Tech<\/strong> had a very nice, but mostly empty “suite” upstairs.<\/p>\n

\nSince Chris Miller<\/strong> has been gone from Adio<\/strong> he gets to wear Vans<\/strong> again and hang out in the Gravis<\/strong> booth.<\/p>\n

\"Howell\"<\/a>
\nAndy Howell<\/strong> and one of the mass-customized art decks available soon from his new Artsprojekt.com<\/a><\/strong>.
