Here’s what they’re saying:<\/p>\n

Under the terms of the new agreement Billabong<\/a><\/strong> will distribute Podium brands DVS<\/a><\/strong>, Matix<\/a><\/strong>, and Lakai<\/a><\/strong> in Australia as well as New Zealand alongside its current line of in-house brands including Element, Nixon, Von Zipper, Kustom Footwear and Plan B. . . .Although Billabong will assume full distribution of Podium\u2019s brands in Australia, the company\u2019s distribution responsibilities in New Zealand will be limited to Billabong\u2019s company retail store channels as well as stores belonging to the Billabong-owned Amazon retail chain.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Looks like step one in a much more meaningful relationship down the road, something no one denied when Podium interviewed itself on <\/a><\/strong>Transworld Business<\/a><\/em><\/strong>. <\/p>\n

\nBillabong To Distribute Podium Brands DVS, Matix, and Lakai in Australia and New Zealand<\/p>\n

Podium Distribution announced today a long-term distribution deal with Australian brand, Billabong.<\/p>\n

Under the terms of the new agreement Billabong will distribute Podium brands DVS, Matix, and Lakai in Australia as well as New Zealand alongside its current line of in-house brands including Element, Nixon, Von Zipper, Kustom Footwear and Plan B.<\/p>\n

Although Billabong will assume full distribution of Podium\u2019s brands in Australia, the company\u2019s distribution responsibilities in New Zealand will be limited to Billabong\u2019s company retail store channels as well as stores belonging to the Billabong-owned Amazon retail chain.<\/p>\n

Podium Distribution VP Of Sales Mike Dunlap says its brands already have a strong footing in the Australian and New Zealand territories and the new partnership with Billabong will only bolster its product sales, mobility, and marketing presence there.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are excited at the opportunity to partner up with the Billabong group in Australia and New Zealand, as well as join their strong stable of brands,\u201d says Podium VP of Sales Mike Dunlap. \u201cAs a global leader in the action sports industry, especially in their backyard of Oz and New Zealand, we look forward to working with them in establishing DVS, Matix and Lakai as preeminent brands in those countries.\u201d<\/p>\n

The distribution deal between the two companies is expected to be finalized by the end of August.<\/p>\n
