The stamp, created by illustrator <strong>Steve McCrackenm,<\/strong> features a snowboarder who looks not un-like <strong>Scotty Lago<\/strong>. The &#8220;first-day-of-issue&#8221; ceremonies followed the US Snowboarding Grand Prix halfpipe event last night.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alan C. Kessler<\/strong>, member, Board of Governors of the U.S. Postal Service, and Dick Coe, executive vice president and chief operating officer of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association, are the dedicating officials.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are proud to support the Olympics and are pleased to be able to continue the tradition of honoring the Games by issuing postage stamps celebrating different Olympic sports,\u201d said Gov. Kessler.<\/p>\n<p>As usual with postal art, this image appears to be an artist&#8217;s mix of tricks and terrain. New stamps may be purchased at a local Post Office\u2122, at The Postal Store\u00ae website at www.usps.com\/shop, or by calling 800-STAMP-24. They should affix the stamps to envelopes of their choice, address the envelopes (to themselves or others), and place them in a larger envelope addressed to:<\/p>\n<p>Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games Stamp<br \/>\nMain Post Office<br \/>\n2100 Park Avenue<br \/>\nPark City, UT  84068-9998<\/p>\n<p>After applying the first-day-of-issue postmark, the Postal Service will return the envelopes through the mail. There is no charge for the postmark. All orders must be postmarked by March 23, 2010.<\/p>\n<p>First-Day Covers<br \/>\nStamp Fulfillment Services also offers first day covers for new stamp issues and Postal Service stationery items postmarked with the official first-day-of-issue cancellation. Each item has an individual catalog number and is offered in the quarterly USA Philatelic catalog.
