In fact, they said that it went against everything that snowboarding stood for. <\/p>\n<p>Now that Burton is been the official snowboard team supplier for a second Olympics things are a quite different, according to a story in the <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/vancouver2010.blogs.nytimes.com\/2009\/12\/04\/burton-introduces-anti-uniform-for-us-snowboarders\/\" target=\"_blank\">New York Times<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cBoard sports, for the most part, are about expressing individuality \u2014 that\u2019s what makes them cool,\u201d said <strong>Greg Dacyshyn<\/strong>, the company\u2019s creative director. \u201cSo the whole uniform thing, you know, it\u2019s a sensitive subject.\u201d . . . \u201cThe inspiration was sort of that classic Americana look: the plaid blazer and old jeans,\u201d Dacyshyn said. \u201cYeah, it\u2019s a uniform, but it\u2019s also an anti-uniform at the same time.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>But more importantly, the uniforms now sport a couple Burton logos.
