When the <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.newsreview.com\/sacramento\/content?oid=1304912\" target=\"_blank\">Sacramento News &#38; Review<\/a><\/em><\/strong> did a story on the issue they went to Cardiel for the straight scoop.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>John Cardiel dashed down Ninth Street on his fixed-gear bike, tearing southward in the right-hand lane, when he heard yelling, which grew louder and closer. He looked over his shoulder and saw two Sacramento police officers on bikes trailing him, hollering, \u201cStop!\u201d . . . Cardiel explains that he \u201cskidded to an immediate stop.\u201d Then, he describes that the cops applied their hand brakes and slid past him. \u201cOne guy almost fell over.
