After 20 years of skateboarding being banned, the City Council last night voted to legalize all &#8220;non-motorized transportation&#8221; in the downtown core of the city, according to a story in the <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bonnercountydailybee.com\/articles\/2009\/09\/21\/news\/doc4ab5be1aebe9d604977649.txt\" target=\"_blank\">Bonner County Daily Bee<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Reuter<\/strong>, who introduced the changes, said the amendment reflects activities already happening downtown and will not affect pedestrians. . . \u201cThis does not modify the ability for any of these modes to travel on sidewalks,\u201d he said. \u201cBicycles are still not allowed on sidewalks, skateboards aren\u2019t allowed on sidewalks.
