Things are not getting better for Joseph Edmund Chiquet, 34, the former owner of The Yard skateboard shop in Bradenton, Florida.
Already in jail on charges of having sex with a 15-year-old girl, Chiquet has now been arrested on charges of “possessing and promoting child pornography,” according to a story in the Bradenton Herald.
Detectives Thursday served Chiquet with more charges at the Manatee County jail after investigators found nine sexually explicit pictures of the victim on his computer. Also, Bradenton police detectives also arrested Chiquet on a charge of lewd and lascivious battery after the victim said he had sex with her in his skate shop, in the 3000 block of Manatee Avenue West.
There are so many lessons to be learned here. We’ll leave it at that.

i looked up the charges and holy sh$% this guy is a real piece of work. He will be locked up for a long time. I feel for the kid that got hurt, 15 is a tough age. I agree with Baby Mama…. i saw there was another arrest in the area similar to this guy. Kids are gonna do what they wanna do, parents need to know where they are at all times… i cant imagine dealing with this. I wonder how many other kids have been affected by this creep. Witness tampering charge for man accused of child porn

A Bradenton Beach man charged last year with making or holding child pornography and lewd battery on a 15-year-old faces new charges of witness tampering, authorities said.
Joseph Edmund Chiquet, 35, offered his ex-girlfriend $10,000 if she would tell investigators that she, and not the 15-year-old, was the female in pornographic images found on a computer he apparently owned, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
Chiquet is scheduled to go on trial Sept. 7 for the initial charges, stemming from his arrest in July 2009.
The woman, who has a son with Chiquet, contacted authorities after Chiquet initially contacted her at her Tucson home in August, the sheriff’s office said. Investigators worked with the woman and Tucson police to set up a “controlled call.”
During that call, authorities said, Chiquet made the proposition, coached the woman on how to pull it off and repeatedly assured her they would not get caught. He claimed he would get the money from his father.
Deputies later arrested Chiquet at his Bradenton Beach home. He was taken to Manatee County Jail on charges of witness tampering.
This happened to my daughter, as well, here in Sarasota. Age 15, with her teacher at a private school here (New Gate School). He then stalked her and our entire family for years after she left the school for college. Very twisted case! Turns out he had quit a record, too. He is free, though. Not enough “evidence” supposedly. The DA had to drop it. These are very sick, sick predators. There must be SOMETHING we can do collectively to put an end to all this pedophilia. It’s sooo very damaging for the victim– and of course their families, too. Keep an eye on your daughter’s–these predators are EVERYWHERE and these young girls are so naive–even when they don’t believe they are– THEY ARE!!!
Where is the 15 year old from tucson that he molested? Where’s the big guy from the trailer park down from the skate shop in Bradenton he put in a coma at the yard party? Where’s the teenage kid who he punched so hard he vomited in the shop? Wheres the family of the old man he straggled to death and left in the alley? Maybe you were hanging around the shop in Tucson or bradenton when these kinds of things were going on. Remain anonymous, who CARES! Just tell your story to the right people. Or don’t. Let this guy sit in jail on his parents dime. He’ll never go to prison like he deserves, he’s to scared. He’s got a lawyer pulling every card he’s got to delay his trial. Once he sees a jury and gets his sentencing he’ll end up with “time served” and be free to walk. Watch your kids. This is a true psychopath, he feels no remorse and he will offend again and again. Each time he does, his victims get younger and younger. If you know anything please please come forward.
