Rob Loriface Has The Best Lawyer Ever

by The Editors on August 10, 2020

On Friday, August 7, 2020, former pro vert skater Rob Loriface was sentenced to, well, not a whole lot after pleading guilty to having an enormous load of meth, heroin, weed, and other drugs for sale in his Encinitas, California home, according to a story on NBC San Diego.

A professional skateboarder from San Diego’s North County will spend the next five years on supervised release for charges stemming from a federal drug trafficking case, with one year under house arrest. . . Judge Dana M. Sabraw sentenced Robert Lorifice, 32, to supervised release on Aug. 7, citing credit for time served. He will also need to pay $2,000 in fines.

Supervised release, house arrest, and $2,000 in fines for having a pound of heroin and meth with the intent to sell? This is after police raided his house twice, once on the initial arrest on September 26, 2018, then again on December 14, 2018 while Loriface was out on bail only to find the exact same scene playing out. We’re glad Rob’s done. Hope he stays clean.

Here’s what his lawyer said:

“Mr. Lorifice has made mistakes and has learned from them. He has worked on himself and has emerged a better and stronger person who is eager to live a productive and law-abiding life while teaching others in the skateboarding community about the dangers of drug use.”

Indeed. So, note to other snow, surf, and skate criminals: if you need a good lawyer Stefano L. Molea might not be a bad guy to call.
