Neither of the guys in the photo above are Tim Swart, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t stoked to pass on the news that Pretty Great Company (the parent of SLVDR, Bonfire, Sessions, and Nikita) has just named the founder and former creative director of UNIV as their new marketing director.

“Based off the fact that Tim was SLVDR’s first dealer, he has a deep history with the brand. With his decades of snowboarding he has lived all facets of the snow industry. Also with his marketing and creative experience from start-ups to bigger brands, Tim is a solid asset to lead our marketing efforts for the brands,” says Rob Myers, Pretty Great President.

Good news for Pretty Great Company. For the official word, please follow the jump.

Pretty Great Company Announces The Addition Of Tim Swart As Marketing Director

Santa Ana, CA – Pretty Great, LLC announces the hiring of Tim Swart to head up the marketing efforts to lead its brands: SLVDR, Bonfire, Sessions and Nikita. Swart is the most recent addition to a strong team of both brand and industry veterans assembled to further Pretty Great’s growth and lead brands that have strong, authentic heritage and well-considered design.

Splitting his time growing up between London, England and New Jersey, Tim’s lifelong experiences in street culture and action sports have shaped his career. He brings with him 20 years of marketing and creative experience in streetwear and action sports, working with a variety of leading brands. Tim was the co-founder of Clive bags and most recently, founder and Creative Director of UNIV, a brand and concept shop in Southern California.

As Marketing Director, Tim’s role will be to lead and execute the global marketing strategy and to establish driving positions for the Pretty Great brands. He will collaborate with the sales and product teams to drive the brand stories across all platforms. Tim will be based out of Pretty Great’s Orange County office, alongside Myers.

Says Swart, “in the current market, good brands are needed and Pretty Great has heritage brands with loyal followings that we look forward to building and taking to some exciting places. I’m excited to turn up the volume on these brands and bringing some meaningful brand stories to retailers and consumers. We have a solid team and under Rob’s leadership we are well underway to achieving our many goals.”

The first big marketing opportunity for Pretty Great is growing the SLVDR brand in the United States and Globally. Beginning with SS17’s new brand campaign “Desert Modernism,” which mixes a refreshing pop-color story with unique outdoor elements, timeless class and a nod to mid-century design; resulting in a distinctive aesthetic that gives the collection in a style all its own. This is the most theme-driven SLVDR collection to date. The new collection will be released at Agenda Long Beach this June.
