BOULDER, CO (April 20, 2015) –

Entering its 12th volume, the industry’s leading independent publication, SNOWBOARD magazine and Snowboardmag.com, is pleased to announce the hires of Brandon Parrish, Justin Parkhurst and Taylor Boyd.

Brandon Parrish comes most recently from Burton where he worked as Photo Editor, and brings with him a decade of experience in the snowboard industry, including marketing and photo work with The Program brands, Forum, Foursquare and Special Blend. Brandon states, “I’m beyond excited to join the SNOWBOARD mag team. This magazine has been one of my favorite snowboard publications since it launched eleven volumes ago and I’m honored to be chosen to help carry on its legend.” In his role as Photo Editor at SNOWBOARD Brandon will oversee the photographic direction of a publication that has always put uncommon emphasis on image quality and presentation.

Justin Parkhurst comes to SNOWBOARD with a background in sales and custom content development in both print and digital mediums, and across action sports and lifestyle categories, with YoBeat, Jenkem and Monster Children. Justin, through his agency, Daze Media, will not only manage brand relationships, but assist in the development of content strategy for SNOWBOARD’s digital and print platforms. “SNOWBOARD magazine is not only a leader in the print and digital realms, but also strives to tell the untold stories of our culture. With a deep understanding and respect for snowboarding’s history combined with a focus on the culture’s future, it’s a very attractive publication to be a part of,” says Parkhurst. Justin will continue to work with clients Monster Children, Jenkem and Surfline through Daze Media.

Taylor Boyd takes on a newly created role with SNOWBOARD magazine as Product Editor and Associate Editor. Taylor comes most recently from a marketing role with action sports retailer, evo. As Product and Associate Editor, Taylor will assist in the creation of content strategy, produce content across print and web and spearhead all of SNOWBOARD’s product-related initiatives. “The opportunity to work with a group of like-minded people in furthering the unique brand that SNOWBOARD has is one I’m thrilled to take on,” says Taylor.

Brandon and Taylor will join Editor-in-Chief Susie Floros, Online Editor Jens Heig and Digital Director Jon Glass at SNOWBOARD’s Boulder, Colorado headquarters. Justin will remain in Park City, Utah, working with Publisher, Kyle Kennedy who remains based in California, as does Senior Editor, Nate Deschenes.
