Looks like things at The Block Hotel are getting interesting for fall. Eneliko Smith, 37, the manager of the hotel was apparently arrested on Thursday September 4, 2008 by the Las Vegas Metropolitian Police after charges were filed by the El Dorado County District Attorney’s office, according to a story in the Tahoe Daily Tribune.
The complaint, filed Aug. 29, charges Smith – a Las Vegas resident – with one felony count of misappropriating public funds, seven misdemeanor counts of failure to furnish tax-return data and seven misdemeanor counts of failure to pay transient occupancy taxes, according to a statement from South Lake Tahoe police. Transient occupancy tax is levied on hotels and motels.

They needed to be shut down. So many people were screwed while they were open. They NEVER paid people for the work they did cosmetically/maintenance to the hotels. The rooms were disgusting, and the hotel managers were shut down if they EVER asked for money to upgrade even comforters. Liko is a pervert as well as many other things. He talked a big game, and unfortunetly, THE BLOCK could’ve been a really rad hotel, but yea, Liko himself f*cked it. Good job buddy!!! Hopefully you have enough money ’cause you f*cked your employees who all worked VERY devotedly for little money. OH. and we NEVER got passes to go ride the mountains, mr.”if you work at the block you’ll never pay to ride”….just another lie from the little man himself.

I went to the block thinking it would be chill as fuck. I watched the show and thought it would be killer and fuck was I wrong. The place was so shady its crazy. The staff had no idea what to do, the management were totally stupid. The room reeked out sex and pot. I smoke but when I throw down that kind of money, I want a good room. Met Liko and he was a total ass to me. You think he would want to be nice to the people who stay there. He is a poser and a loser.
I worked at the hotel in big bear for three years for that lying piece of shit. I dont know how one person could be such a fuck up. When the big bear hotel closed on Jan 23 due to forclosure liko showed up with a U-Haul and 3 tweakers that were living with him promising that this was just the beggining as he ripped tvs from the walls and couches from the floors. He also took the last remaining money from the safe that was supposed to be our pay but he insisted he was going to send a check, and he sure did my last pay check bounced for over six hundred dollars. I can totally agree with all of the ibid statements about Liko being an ass!!! I was there when the hotel was just in transition from being the Lamplighter Inn to the BLOCK. Liko made me sell outdated rooms to callers who were promised boot dryers, pimp rooms (his cheezy words, not mine), and many other ammenities that simply didn’t exist. He charged outragious rates, and when customers showed up expecting a cool new botique hotel they were sorely mistaken. Liko was/is AN EXTREMELY SHADY PERSON, and a cruel businessmen (so-to-speak).
Also, this is a warning to everyone who has worked at the BLOCK. I had identity theft last year. I live on the East Coast but police traced the imposter to NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV..surprise, surprise, that’s were Liko lived. I wouldn’t be surprised if that fool was selling all former employees social security numbers for cash. He is a fucking looser who deserves everything that comes his way.

To all- “whatever” is right. All Cowards try to ruin someones life on the internet. I will clear up a few things- 1. the hotels were not run properly, we should’ve hired hotel people, not snowboarders, loyal fuckers but just not intersted in hotels that much 2. the reality show was a distraction from a hotel that was too small to handle it while still trying to run a business 3. there were way too many small investors who were jealous about the publicity but rightly nervous that the cash flows didn’t match and when the time came, couldn’t pony up the funds to help out 4. the communities hated us because we did not communicate well enough with them on our plans so they thought we were evil incarnate. 5. I am not nor will I ever be a true snowboarder, I love business too much and I won’t make the time, I love Golf, and I golf once a year, Ill do the rest of this shit when Im old and rich. 6. I spent over $400,000 of my own money over 3 years propping up the hotels because of my ego instead of issuing cash calls and when I did, the investors claimed i was mismanaging but nobody would step up to run the hotels, and even when I sent over the books and there was no irregularity, they apologized in private and talked shit in public as if it was some “jerry springer” show. 7. After six months of back and forth BS with banks and investors while triing to run ahotel wil oil spills, mudslides and shit killing business and being accused of being money hungry, I gave the hotels back to the banks “in advance” fuck those greedy fuckin banks, and fuck the investors that claim I give a shit about money- so I bit my own arm off. FYI- the city tried to sell the hotel to a friend of mine last week for a million; I told him it wasn’t worth it. ..they dont deserve it…small communities hate new ideas..I was too big of a bang and too small of a business..so they were able to hurt me..never again. There will be more blocks, just keep reading your paper. Every righteous investor will get paid back, ..every sponsor will get tenfold what they put into it and every customer will get a well run hotel. I am into the big leagues, I have four guys I work with, all mulitimillionaires who “can lose’ the money if we’re wrong and make a shitload if we’re right but no more small time, we’re going for 150 room plus full service hotels, and the resorts, and golf courses that make money, run by hotel people, paycash to investors and hire entire communities of people and in the end; no more gettin monkey fucked by small minded people in any form. That’s a promise. Some of you may hate me, shit,,.I don’t blame you.. I do dumb shit just like you do; but I don’t screw anybody, Im just not so into being liked that I give a shit what people think when I;m doing the best I can and being fucked with at the same time. Every investor that has ever given me a dollar will be paid back with interest. I also lost everything financially and otherwise and rightfully so; (it was my fuckin idea), but though I’ve had my differences with some select individuals, they deserve their money back.
It has been a big regret in my life that so many small investors laid their funds on the line, some were friends, some were close friends, some were relatives of friends and also my friendship with MFM.
I still hold the investor lists and they will be paid in full, by the end of this year, the total funds and compensation are being programmed into my future deals; as I stand up, so will they.
After this year; No person will ever be able to say that Liko Smith lost their money.
